Park
Family Oriental Medicine was started by Dr. Eunyoung Park, who desired to provide a different
type of medical treatment than the healthcare modalities prevalent in the West. She sought a methodology that would relieve
suffering without becoming reliant on chemicals used in synthetic medication. Her vision of healthcare is not only in treating
the symptoms of the illness, but also in understanding the root cause behind the symptoms.
Park Family Oriental Medicine
promotes wellness through a holistic approach, incorporating the concept of mind and body balance. With uniquely tailored
healthcare, she promotes the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Individuals who suffer from various health problems
will experience significant results from the natural healing therapies offered. She is treating her patient not only with
acupuncture but also with all her heart, so whenever patients feel better, she is so happy, and that is what she is doing
all of this for.
Her interest in Eastern Medicine
began in Seoul, Korea, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in English Education from Dae Gu University, as well as receiving
her national teaching certification. She chose to continue that commitment in the U.S. by pursuing her Bachelor of Professional
Studies and a Master of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine at the New York College of Health Professions in Long Island,
NY.
While in New
York, she also earned a certificate in Acupuncture for Cancer Patients from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and holds
a professional license of Doctor of Acupuncture from Rhode Island, as well as Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbal Medicine Practitioner
in the states of Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Texas, and several others. She received her certification in Oriental
Medicine from both the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and the University
of the State of New York.
Dr. Park was Clinical Director/Supervisor
and Instructor at the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine, and she has worked with numerous conditions including pain management,
chronic or acute diseases, infertility combined with/without IVF, paralysis, seizure, cancer, HIV/AIDS, joint disorders, hepatitis
with ITP, losing weight, diabetes, smoking cessation, migraine headaches, depression, allergies, insomnia, among others. She
has treated with the use of acupuncture, herbal formulas, moxibustion, medical massage if it is necessary, and the majority
of her patients have seen a significant improvement to their condition within one to two treatment sessions. She has also
treated government-paid “no fault” car accident victims in addition to the regular assortment of ailments. While
in New York, she also worked in an herbal dispensary and as a peer tutor at her school, the New York College of Health Professionals.
In addition to Traditional Chinese Medicine, She has studied
Traditional Korean Medicine including Sa-Sang Constitutional Medicine, Ko-Ryo Hand Acupuncture called Ko-Ryo Hand Therapy
(KHT) or Soo-Ji-Chim ; The Korean Hand Acupuncture theorizes that the hands are a micro-cosmos of the body. The function
of the human body can be manipulated by stimulating the corresponding points on our hands. She also has received training
in Korean Remedy Medicine, Korean Acupuncture and Herbology from both Korean Traditional Medicine Doctors Association (So
Moon Hak Hui) at New York and by studying with her family, which includes a Traditional Korean Medical Doctor, Western Medical
