Our purpose is to assist people in the understanding and experience of their true nature through the practice of yoga and immersion in a yogic lifestyle. Our tools are classical hatha yoga taught with an emphasis on breath awareness, chanting and meditation to quiet the mind, and yogic therapies to help relax the body and mind so that we can experience the natural happiness within.

 PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE 5 OR 10 MINUTES BEFORE CLASS BEGINS.
 NEW STUDENTS NEED TO CALL AHEAD FOR FIRST CLASS. 

 CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Monday Evening ;  For teachers in training, advanced students, and by permission.  Pranayama and asana class with instruction in meditation.  Different therapeutic focus each class.  Satsang (discussion) begins at 5:30, and asana class at 6pm.   
 
 
Brad's  Class on Tuesday evenings:  6:30--7:30p.  Level II-III    
This class will be basically a Surya Namaskar class generating lots of heat, but we'll stop every so often to experience the inner flow of energy.  We'll explore different ways of moving with the breath: sometimes it will be fiery, sometimes it will move like water. This is a great chance to go deep while moving and strengthening our bodies.  
 
Men of Steel -All Levels  
A class designed especially for men, with a focus of developing strength and flexibility.
 
Therapeutic Class - Strength - All Levels
A class is uniquely designed to help build the strength of the students through careful instruction.
 
Level I
This class is designed to help new students develop awareness of their body, learn the key yoga poses and work to build a strong foundation.  No previous yoga or fitness experience needed.
 
 
Level II, Level III
This class is a Level II vinyasa, flow style class.  Emphasis is placed on proper alignment in poses to help challenge the student while keeping them safe.  This class in intended for students who have a base knowledge of key poses and are in relatively good physical condition.  Level III students should know and have practiced inversions and arm balances.
 

 
Kids Yoga
These classes are designed specifically for children, to teach them to stretch, breathe deeply, relax and concentrate.  Yoga develops correct posture, body awareness and self-confidence and helps children to become more calm and peaceful.  Classes are designed to enhance learning and brain development.   See below for further information.
 
Guru Gita
This time is for the enjoyment of those that would like to join a community that values the practice of connecting to the heart.
 
Yoga For Healing / Restorative
A class designed to help the body relax and restore.  Suitable for all levels.  We use props to help you be more comfortable.
 
Band Practice
Join the band practice to learn and practice playing instruments such as the harmonium, drums, etc.  The band plays during the Sunday afternoon Chanting and Meditation time.
 
Chanting and Meditation
This is a wonderful time to sit to chant and meditiate in a beautiful space. Half the class is chanting with 30 minutes of meditation.

 

 
HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES:
Call individual instructor, or send check to Yoga for You, 7230 E. 29th St. North, Wichita, Ks. 67226. You may also pay the first day of class but it is best to sign up ahead.
Private lessons, Thai Yoga Therapy, Thai Massage, and other health therapies require 24 hour cancellation, or the session will be charged

REFUNDS:

No refunds after six months.

FOR YOUR FIRST CLASS:
Please come a little early in order to fill out our health history form.
Wear comfortable clothing in which you can move and breathe.
Make our teachers aware of any special needs you may have, such as low back injuries, pregnancy, disc problems.
Please do not eat a heavy meal before you come.
Please do not wear heavy perfume, as some students have allergies.
